Keyless Entry System

Keyless entry systems can be an excellent way to secure your rental property without needing to use physical keys. These systems allow guests and tenants to gain access to the building by using an entry code, or using their smartphones. These systems can be paired with intercoms that allow video and audio communications. This gives people multiple ways to enter buildings. Certain keyless entry systems run on cloud and can be controlled remotely and provide more advanced features.

Keyless entry systems can be installed on any commercial or residential property. The hardware should be installed at every entryway. Next, the system needs to be configured and controlled through a central console, or via a smartphone app. According to Technavio the global keyless entry system market is expected grow at a CAGR between the years 2016 and 2022 of 11.8 percent. The growth in the market is due to the increasing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.

Many people fear getting locked out of their homes, and so they often leave keys in a safe place. This poses a major security risk, since criminals know where people keep their keys, and can easily locate them. Installing a keyless entrance at your home is the best option to stop this. This will ensure that you do not get locked out again.

Transponder Chip

The transponder or "chip key", is a micro-chip which is built into the head part of your car keys. It's among the most important security layers for your vehicle. The word transponder comes from the combination of the responder and transmitter. This is because, after the key has been fitted into the ignition and the key is turned on around, the antenna inside your car transmits a radio frequency energy to a transponder chip. The chip responds with its unique identification code to the ring that is attached to it and the car's computer is able to identify that information and determine if it is a genuine key.

The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it is not, then the vehicle will remain immobilized. The chip is protected by a polycarbonate coating that stops it from being cloned with mechanical keys that are used in regular use or copied with laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys at just a fraction of the price of car dealerships.

In the 1980s, GM began to introduce transponder chips inside the Corvette. This technology drastically reduced car thefts, since it made hot-wiring a thing of past. This is the simplest explanation of the chip key. If you have other questions, please contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser system (also called the anti-theft system) is a key feature of your car's security. When you insert the Smart Key or ignition switch into the car, the transponder within the key sends out a code. The ECU checks that the code that is sent by the chip matches the one stored in it before it allows the engine to start.

This is the primary way that the immobiliser of your car stops theft. If the code inside the chip doesn't match, the ECU stops the flow of current to the fuel pump relay and the injection system, keeping the engine from getting started. The immobiliser can also disable the starter motor or ignition coil to prevent the engine from being initiated by force.

Unfortunately the system isn't foolproof. Thieves are able to crack the code that allows you to unlock the immobiliser on your car and allow it to start. However,  fiat car keys  of these systems come with a more cryptographic sequences that is more difficult to deduce.

Since 1998, car immobilisers have been mandatory. However, many cars already had rudimentary systems. It's also worth noting that while an immobiliser makes it more difficult to steal a car it does not stop thieves from towing away or breaking into the vehicle to steal your belongings.

Key Replacement

The loss of a remote or key fob can be expensive and frustrating. A locksmith will need to gain access to the vehicle to decode the VIN or run it and then reprogram the replacement key to erase all previous signatures on the computer for keys that have been stolen, lost or damaged.

A key replacement will be more expensive if you own a car that includes a transponder, or an integrated security chip. The chips transmit signals to your car that confirms that you are the driver and allow doors to be opened or the engine to be started. The typical price for a replacement smart key is around $160.
